I joined at the meeting Saturday night and I thought I would sort of introduce myself, or actually introduce my little reef tank to y'all....

Well, actually this is my "BIG TANK," an old 29 gallon AGA with DIY fuge, Remora, 150W 14,000K Phoenix and a bunch of other DIY stuff piled in, on, under and around it....

I added a couple (3) new items from the meeting Saturday. Donovan brought me a beautiful Red Mushroom

and a few frags of his new Pink/Orange monti digi.....

and I came out of the Frag event with a nice frag of Blue tort.....

Since then I traded my big hunk of Clove polyps for a hunk of neon green trumpet and a little Orange cap....The cap and trumpets are not in these pics, as I put them in, scraped the glass and carded the sand edges....so no pics tonight...those will follow in a few days....

The new mushroom is getting along with my Green stripers VERY well....(despite the rumors it might start in the neighborhood).....

Here is her area of town:

Other than the new guys, my real centerpiece is a big, fat, puffy Neon Green-eyed Red Blasto wellsi (from Russell, bought at the Frag auction at SRC)

He puffs up wider than the 2 inch disk that he is on now, but no babies yet....

Other than that it's just a bunch of varied stuff, including some other monti digs, xenis, cloves, Acropora mille, gorgonia, sponges, native Porites, a half dozen or so Porelain crabs, and heaven knows what all else.....

I hope this isn't excessive, but I just love to show off my little 29 Reef. Thanks for indulging me,

Mitch

Looking good! Thos red shrooms are imports.......from texas. I bet you didn't know about that big reef in dallas, huh? :P

Seriously......everything is looking great! The digi has been shaded for a couple weeks, so it will probably brighten up a lot.

I love the pics.....I wish more people would post pictures.

I just snapped a couple of pics that I thought should be up here....

First of all, I wanted to share this INSANE Blastomussa wellsi, bought from the SRC Frag Auction. I understand that it is from Russell....for this one I will express my appreciation. It has not yet made any babies, but be aware that the frag disk is 2 inches diameter.

The second is a little pile of (glued together) frags of Pink/orange Montipora digitata given to me by our own Juice....They are coloring up quite well already, but I trust have a little way to go...

Absolutely beautiful stuff....
