Is Melissa going to be there? I'd like to pay for my membership, but I won't be able to make the February meeting.

You can mail in the renewal if you can't make the meeting. No sense in driving all the way out there if you can't stay.
But yes, I will be there.

Bring the little frag along.
Last year it was like 90+ degrees and we all got cooked in the heat.
The weather forecast looks good for the weekend. Should be beautiful weather. A good day for friends, food and fish stuff. And of course, the raffle!

have you had a bad experience with ARM?

Not yet, but it gets mushy then traps CO2.

I thought it only gets mushy if you let the pH drop too low

Ph needs to be 6.7 or less to dissolve Ca. I keep mine at 6.6. ARM gets mushy.

I just wanted to say Thank you again to World Wide Corals for allowing ORCA to host it's 2nd Annual Swap Meet & BBQ this last Saturday.

I hope everyone had a great time as Mel & I did. I managed to move a bunch of stuff out of my garage and swaped/sold most of it.

We had at least "twice" the turn out we did from last year. And given the amount of hardware many folks had, I'm thinking may be we could do another swap meet later in the fall.

Thanks again WWC!

Yeah, thanks a lot to WWC. The store looked great. Amazing corals and a really clean setup.

Thanks again for the reefdoser Matt. I had to order a new tube for one of the sides, but the other one is working perfectly. Hopefully the new tube will fix everything. Can complain for spending $50 on a $250 dosing pump.

Hey Jon, let me know how it works after you get the new tube. That is the weak link to that doser. The mechanics seems to work fine but over time, the little hoses wear out. I used to order a few extra to keep as back up. -Matt

Glad it went well, shame I'm here in California and I missed it :P

Where did you order the tubing from? MarineDepot in $19.99 for each replacement 8O

I believe I called Reefdoser directly and ordered from them. The hoses might cost a few bucks but in contrast to the price of the pump itself, it doesn't seem all that bad. I would expect that you should get at least a year out the tubes before they require replacement.

Hopefully they'll last a little longer than that. I only have to run the pump 90 seconds a day for my little tank, although it might be a little more once I get my 40gallon sps tank up and running...

Awesome. Thanks. I'll have to call them next time. I ordered mine from Premium Aquatics. They were a little cheaper than Marine Depot.
