I'm new to this forum as I'm moving to the area in a few weeks, what better way to introduce than with photos...

This was an image from my tank that took me a while to capture, depth of field was a royal pain as the subject starts in the bottom left and fade to back center. something like f40 and about 40 shots later I was able to capture a good, clean image. Problem was that exposure was really long to get the DOF and you know how things like to move around.

This one I'm having blown up to a 36" poster

Nothing special about the subjects, other than kinda cool photo of some tank pests, but it's an interesting image

Another one that took a while to capture the true colors, the gold is really hard to capture, but this one came out OK.

I tend to shoot with optimum lighting rather than photoshopping, so all the images above were only edited for minor exposure and very minor if any color.

Welcome !!!
Those are really nice pictures and the corals are beautiful.
Those macro lens are perfect for capturing all the beauty and details of the corals, I'm really thinking about getting a good camera.

Hey Max...where are you moving from?
I'm moving from Las Vegas to Ft. Lauderdale. I sold all my dog grooming salons in Vegas and was going to retire but started to go kinda crazy with nothing to do, then I found a really tricked out reef store for sale online, jumped on a plane the next day and purchased it the next day.

Within 1 week I went from being retired (only 45) to moving to FL and owning a ultra cool reef store. I've contacted this site about being a sponsor and should have that wrapped up in a day or so.

Might say I'm living my dream, I can play with my camera all day long, then I can spash around in my 16'x4' frag tank

My brother lives in orlando and I plan on visiting him often, so it would be cool to take in one of your meetings and then visit with my family.

Just to tease everyone, here is my new obsession, it's only 16 feet x 4 feet LOL and I'm going to add another section to make it 24'x4'x16' in a few weeks...

Nice. What store is it?

My brother lives in Davie and I get down that way at least a couple times a year.

In the future I'll contain all the store info to my dedicated forum, the Store is EcoNatuReef on West Broward Blvd in Plantation FL. The store name will be changed ASAP. It's a dedicated reef store...We should have the banners and weblinks on this site active in a few days
